I’m having trouble exporting my photos and videos - what should I do?

Please see one of the suggestions below to help get things moving along!

If the export is taking too long (internet connection is slow):
We suggest you export your collection to Dropbox or Google Drive. Exporting to these services is very fast and isn’t limited by your internet connection speed.

If you don’t have enough storage space for all of your photos or videos:
You have several options if you are low on storage space: 
  • Export to Dropbox or Google Drive as these don’t require storing files on your devices. Note: if your collection is large you may need to upgrade your Dropbox or Google Drive. 
  • Use another device with more storage space available. For example, we also support exporting to Mac or Windows PC. You can also consider expanding your computer’s storage with an external hard drive. 
  • If you want to export to iPhone or iPad, enable “iCloud Photos” and “Optimize iPhone Storage” in “Settings > Photos”. This will allow iOS to free up space by saving your photos to iCloud.
If Dropbox or Google Drive don’t have enough space to accommodate your entire export from Shoebox:
Please upgrade your Dropbox or Google Drive plan for additional storage:

Alternatively, if you do not wish to upgrade your Dropbox and Google Drive accounts, you can export your collection directly to your Mac or PC if you have enough space.
